A Great Location!
Heideweg lies within the „Flüsseviertels“ (rivers district) and is the oldest and most desirable residential area of Kassel. This part of the city was built in the 1930’s as a garden city and showcases the historically preserved “Kaffeemühle Villen” (Coffee Mill Villas). The Boarding House Heideweg was completely renovated in 2010.

A short walk away is the world famous “Bergpark”, the loveliest hillside park in Germany. The Heideweg offers both joggers and walkers many diverse courses. Art lovers of all forms will find a host of venues. Placed on the UNESCO Heritage Site in 2014 the ensemble includes The Gallery Alte Meister in Schloss Wilhemshöhe, Löwenburg, Winter Gardens, Ball Room, as well as the monumental site Herkules (Herkules stands atop a cascading water staircase and is the City of Kassel’s proud symbol). All well worth a prolonged visit! For more information, visit one of the sites listed in our imprint.

Both regional and international cuisines are available in many different categories, to help round out the ample offerings around Heideweg. Nearby is “Wellness and Spa” (warm thermal springs) in the Kurhessenthermen – total relaxation is guaranteed for both the body and soul.

As you can see, Heideweg is quite an attractive and central starting point for your stay in Kassel.

The Marbachshöhe supplements the excellent Wilhelmshöhe offering with additional attractions. The International School and Kindergarten, as well as diverse cultural institutions are in the neighborhood. Bicycle rental at the house. Within walking distance are sport and recreational facilities such as bouldering and rock climbing in Kellerzentrum and many diverse fitness studios – including one for women only.
